May Impact: Sharing the Blessings of Qurbani and Transforming Lives Together
May was a month of compassion, sacrifice, and meaningful impact. As communities around the world celebrated Eid-ul-Adha, your generosity helped bring hope, dignity, and nourishment to thousands of vulnerable people across Bangladesh.
Through our Qurbani program and ongoing humanitarian initiatives, Projects for Humanity reached more than 13,700 individuals this month, including orphaned children, refugee families, coastal communities, and other marginalized groups. Together, we transformed acts of kindness into lasting impact.

Qurbani: Sharing the Blessings of Eid
Eid-ul-Adha was the highlight of our efforts this month. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, 163 Qurbani animals were sacrificed, allowing us to distribute meat packages to 2,345 vulnerable families across Bangladesh.
These families included orphaned children, refugees, tiger widows, coastal communities, newly reverted Muslims, slum dwellers, river-island residents, and others facing hardship. For many, this was the only opportunity to enjoy nutritious meat during Eid and celebrate with dignity.
Beyond providing food, your Qurbani donations delivered hope, joy, and the reassurance that they were not forgotten.
Education and Student Achievement
Education remained at the heart of our mission throughout May.
At Champion Academy, students continued their academic, creative, and extracurricular development through specialized classes and competitions. Four students successfully advanced to the National Level of the National High School Programming Contest (NHSPC) 2026, while two students qualified for the Divisional Round of the Marks All-Rounder Competition in Music and Acting categories.
These achievements reflect the potential that emerges when children are given quality education, guidance, and opportunities to excel.
Orphan Care and Child Development
Our Orphan Care Program continued to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children under our care.
Throughout the month, students received school uniforms, shoes, Eid gifts, nutritious meals, healthcare services, and educational support. We also expanded Qur'an Hifz classes and continued character-building and personal development activities.
The children achieved remarkable success in various academic, cultural, and sports competitions at School, Municipality, and Upazila levels, demonstrating their growth and determination.
A special highlight was the visit of our President to the Chapainawabganj Orphan Care Center, where he spent time with the children and joined them for a friendly football match, creating joyful and memorable moments.
Expanding Access to Clean Water
Access to safe drinking water remained a critical focus area throughout May.
Our Pure Water Project supplied 25,000 gallons of purified drinking water through four water treatment plants and distributed an additional 17,000 liters through 163 tube wells. These efforts provided safe drinking water to approximately 7,500 people.
We are also excited to share that two new solar-powered Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plants have successfully completed installation and system testing. Both plants are expected to be inaugurated soon, expanding access to clean water for even more vulnerable coastal communities.
Supporting Refugee Communities
In the Rohingya refugee camps, our team continued educational support, coordination activities, and humanitarian services.
During Eid-ul-Adha, Qurbani meat from 20 goats and 2 cows was distributed among 180 refugee beneficiaries. We also completed the expansion of a learning center and received approvals for future skill development and needs assessment initiatives.
These efforts continue to strengthen opportunities and support for displaced families living in difficult conditions.
Healthcare and Community Empowerment
Our Free Healthcare Program conducted six medical camps during the month, providing free treatment and medicines to 560 individuals. Services included general healthcare, eye care, dental care, and gynecological support.
Meanwhile, our Underprivileged Empowerment Project continued creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for vulnerable families. To date, 688 families have received income-generating resources, tools, and guidance, benefiting more than 3,100 individuals.
Looking Ahead
As we move into the coming month, we remain committed to expanding our impact through education, healthcare, orphan care, clean water initiatives, refugee support, and sustainable development programs.
We also look forward to inaugurating two new solar-powered water treatment plants and continuing to create opportunities for vulnerable communities to thrive.
None of this would be possible without the compassion and generosity of our donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters. Every meal shared, every child educated, every patient treated, and every family supported is a reflection of your kindness.
Thank you for standing with us and helping bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to those who need it most.
