Underprivileged Empowerment
Making a difference through strategic initiatives
Poverty is not a lack of ability. It is a lack of opportunity.
Across Bangladesh, widows, people with disabilities, struggling parents, and unemployed youth wake up each day wanting the same thing — a chance to earn with dignity. They do not want long-term dependence. They want stability, respect, and the ability to provide for their families.
The Underprivileged Empowerment Project was created to turn struggle into self-sufficiency.
Who We Are
Projects for Humanity is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the USA, dedicated to enhancing the lives of underprivileged individuals and communities through humanitarian relief, free medical support, and sustainable development initiatives. Our programs touch thousands of lives every day, focusing on long-term solutions that restore dignity and build self-reliant communities.
Our Approach
We focus on sustainable empowerment rather than temporary relief. Instead of short-term assistance, we provide income-generating tools, vocational training, and small business support that enable families to build stable, long-term livelihoods.
Each family is carefully assessed so that the support matches their skills, physical ability, and local market opportunities. Our goal is not only to provide tools, but to create lasting income streams.

Real Impact
Through the Underprivileged Empowerment Project, transformation is not theoretical — it is visible in daily life. Families who once survived on 400–500 BDT per day have doubled or even tripled their income. Widows who depended on neighbors for support now operate their own small businesses. Livestock recipients generate enough annual income to manage household expenses and keep their children in school. Many beneficiaries eventually reach a stage where they no longer require financial assistance.
These are not isolated cases. They are repeated outcomes of sustainable empowerment.
From Begging to Breadwinning: Tanzila’s Story
Tanzila and her two sisters are physically disabled. When their father, the only earning member of the family, became paralyzed, they were forced to beg on the streets to survive.
They earned only 400–500 BDT per day — a life they never wanted. They did not want sympathy. They wanted dignity.
After assessing their abilities, Projects for Humanity (P4H) provided them with a digital weight and height measurement machine.
Today, they earn 1,000–1,200 BDT daily.
They are no longer begging.
They are running a service.
They are earning with confidence and pride.
There are many stories like Tanzila’s — stories of restored dignity and renewed hope.
Fatema Begum – From Widowhood to Business Owner
After losing her husband, Fatema Begum depended on others to survive. With small business support, she now earns around 500 BDT in daily profit. She manages her household independently and lives with renewed confidence and stability.
Nur Muhammad – Livestock That Changed Everything
After receiving livestock support, Nur Muhammad earned approximately 1 lakh BDT in a year. The income covered his family’s living expenses and ensured his children continued their education. Today, he is financially stable and no longer requires assistance.
Ripon Ali – From Recipient to Giver
After receiving support to open a grocery store, Ripon paid off his debts and now provides for his family independently.
SubhanAllah — he even gives free groceries to those who cannot afford them.
Your Zakat transformed him from a recipient into a giver.
Sufia Begum – A Smile Restored
Widowed and childless, Sufia once worked in others’ homes just to secure three meals a day. Life was filled with hardship and uncertainty. After receiving support, she now earns independently. The smile on her face reflects stability, dignity, and self-reliance.
Many former recipients eventually begin supporting others in their communities. When empowerment replaces dependency, the impact extends far beyond one family — it strengthens entire communities.
This is how empowerment creates ripple effects.
Our Vision
Our vision for the Underprivileged Empowerment Project is to build a society where poverty does not define a person’s future, and every capable individual has the opportunity to earn with dignity.
We envision communities where widows become business owners, people with disabilities become service providers, unemployed youth gain skills, and struggling families achieve financial stability through income generation tools, trainings, and support. Instead of dependency, we promote independence. Instead of temporary survival, we create long-term security.
Empower a family with tools and training. Create opportunity. Restore dignity. Build a future of self-sufficiency.
