Projects for Humanity (P4H) is committed to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of every donation entrusted to us. This Donation Policy explains how we accept, use, and manage charitable contributions in accordance with our mission and donor intent.

1. Purpose and Use of Donations

Donations to P4H are used to support charitable programs and projects that align with our mission and the purpose communicated to donors.

Our work includes initiatives such as:

  • Education and scholarships
  • Orphan care and support
  • Food and nutrition
  • Clean and safe water
  • Free medical care
  • Shelter and humanitarian assistance
  • Underprivileged empowerment and livelihoods
  • Disaster and emergency response
  • Refugee assistance
  • Other charitable and humanitarian initiatives

We seek to use every contribution responsibly and where it can create meaningful benefit for the people and communities we serve.

2. P4H's 100% Donation Policy

P4H follows a 100% Donation Policy.

This means that every penny of a public donation is directed toward the charitable cause or project for which it is given, after applicable bank, card, payment-processing, or transaction fees.

Where a donation is made to a specific project or charitable purpose, P4H seeks to honor that designation and use the contribution for that purpose.

3. Processing and Transaction Fees

Donations made through credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, online payment platforms, fundraising platforms, or other payment methods may be subject to processing or transaction fees charged by the relevant financial institution or payment provider.

These fees are outside P4H's control and may be deducted from the amount received before the remaining donation is applied to the charitable purpose.

Accordingly, when we state that 100% of donations go toward charitable causes, this means the donation amount received by P4H after applicable third-party payment-processing or transaction fees.

4. Restricted and Unrestricted Donations

Donors may designate their contribution for a particular P4H project, campaign, or charitable purpose where such designation is offered.

P4H will make reasonable efforts to use designated donations for the stated purpose.

Unrestricted donations may be used for charitable programs and projects where P4H determines there is the greatest need or where the funds can have the greatest charitable impact.

If a designated project becomes fully funded, cannot proceed, or circumstances substantially change, P4H may seek to redirect the contribution to a closely related charitable purpose consistent with the donor's original intent.

Where appropriate and reasonably possible, P4H may contact the donor regarding such a change.

5. Donation Acceptance

P4H gratefully accepts donations through approved channels, including online contributions, credit and debit cards, bank transfers, recurring donations, and other lawful forms of charitable giving.

P4H reserves the right to decline, return, or restrict a contribution when acceptance would:

  • Violate applicable law or regulations
  • Conflict with P4H's charitable mission
  • Create unreasonable legal, financial, or administrative obligations
  • Impose restrictions that P4H cannot reasonably fulfill
  • Create other circumstances that would make accepting or using the contribution inappropriate

P4H does not knowingly accept funds from prohibited or unlawful sources.

6. Tax-Deductibility and Donation Receipts

Projects for Humanity is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States.

Federal Tax ID (EIN): 82-2728469

Eligible contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by applicable U.S. federal and state law.

P4H will provide appropriate donation acknowledgments or receipts for eligible contributions as required by applicable law.

Tax deductibility may depend on individual circumstances. Donors are responsible for determining their own tax situation and should consult a qualified tax professional regarding the tax treatment of their contributions.

If a donor receives goods, services, benefits, or other value in connection with a contribution, the deductible amount may be affected by applicable tax rules.

7. Recurring Donations

Donors who establish recurring donations may request to modify or cancel future contributions.

Cancellation of a recurring donation stops future scheduled payments but does not automatically reverse donations that have already been successfully processed.

If a recurring donation was processed in error, the donor may contact P4H as soon as possible so that the matter can be reviewed.

8. Donation Refunds and Errors

P4H understands that donations may occasionally be made in error.

If you believe you made a donation unintentionally, entered an incorrect amount, or experienced another transaction error, please contact P4H as soon as possible with:

  • Your name
  • Donation date
  • Donation amount
  • Transaction or confirmation number, if available
  • Reason for the refund request

Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Where a refund is approved, P4H will generally return the eligible amount through the original payment method, subject to the policies and limitations of the payment processor.

Third-party processing or transaction fees may not be recoverable and may therefore be excluded from any refund.

9. Financial Stewardship and Accountability

P4H is committed to responsible financial stewardship and transparency.

We maintain financial records relating to donations and charitable programs and seek to ensure that contributions are used consistently with our mission, donor intent, and applicable legal requirements.

P4H may provide financial information, reports, project updates, and other accountability information through its website, donor communications, annual reporting, or upon appropriate request.

10. Donor Privacy

P4H respects the privacy of its donors.

We do not sell or rent donor personal information.

We may share limited information with trusted service providers when necessary to process donations, maintain donor records, provide communications, operate our website, or fulfill other legitimate organizational functions.

For additional information about how P4H collects, uses, and protects personal information, please review our Privacy Policy.

  • Donation receipts and confirmations
  • Updates about the project or cause they supported

12. Changes to This Donation Policy

P4H may update this Donation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, programs, payment methods, or applicable legal requirements. Any updated policy will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
